We all have a choice to make each end every morning we rise out of bed. We can choose to make the most of the day and be happy or we can make the choice to look for the negative around us. How we choose to think will determine how our day, and ultimately our life will be.
Below are a couple thoughts to consider.
Above all else, consider these words from God’s Holy Bible.
Most of us who are at all familiar with computers and how they operate are familiar with the concept GIGO which means garbage in, garbage out. This a reminder to all those operating a computer they need to be careful about controlling what type of information (ie good) goes in the computer so they can receive the “good” out of it.
We need to practice this same concept when it comes to our hearts and our minds. When we allow garbage to come in, we are going to have garbage come out. If we guard and protect (ie control what comes in) our hearts and minds and only allow good in, we will receive good out. The responsibility is on each of us as individuals to control what we allow to flow into and out of our minds. We may not be able to control what others may do or say, but we can control what we choose to be exposed to.
We need to always look to God’s Word for our guidance.
May we all strive to maintain control over what comes into our heart and out of our mouths.
As school now is back underway, I am sure many parents are thinking about the children the would like their own children should spend time with. Parents begin thinking about the fact that many times the people we choose to spend time with become the type of person we become. That being said, many parents watch carefully over their children’s friends until they feel like they have a good idea of the influence they may have on their child.
I wonder if we remind ourselves of the very same fact I mentioned above. I wonder if we take the same time and care to figure out the type of people we should be spending time with and recognize we too can be influenced either for the better or the worse.
Consider this thought…
Now take a moment to reflect on what God teaches us about the company we keep…
May we all pray for God’s guidance and wisdom in choosing who we spend the majority of our time with.
I ran across this as I was doing some research this evening and I found it rather interesting to think about and consider. I hope it will be a blessing to you and get you thinking as well.
Jesus will sing praises to His Father in the Kingdom of God!
“I will declare your name unto my brethren,
in the midst of the congregation will I sing praise unto thee…” (Hebrews 2:12)
– We do not often think of Jesus singing hymns of praise … let alone in the Kingdom.
– Remember, that after the ‘last supper’ he sang a hymn with his beloved disciples. (Matt 26:30)
– Hebrews 2:12 is a direct quote from Psalm 22:22 which refers to the resurrection of Jesus from the sleep of death.
– Just imagine how wonderful it will be to sing praises to God with Jesus … with immortal voices!
Believe while others ..
Believe while others are doubting.
Plan while others are playing.
Study while others are sleeping.
Decide while others are delaying.
Prepare while others are daydreaming.
Begin while others are procrastinating.
Work while others are wishing.
Save while others are wasting.
Listen while others are talking.
Smile while others are frowning.
Commend while others are criticizing.
Persist while others are quitting.
Pray while others doubt.

As Christians here on earth we need to be doing more…we must remember it is our job to be an example and not to simply act as everyone else does.
Let us all strive to do more for the Father who loves us.
We will all face difficulties in our lives and maybe even loss. But if you really think about, as the above quotes indicates, our blessings far out way our difficulties. We must make a conscious effort to appreciate the good always and work the through the difficulties as they come. Ask yourself this…
Have you ever heard this one?
I choose to follow after God’s teachings and remember what He has to say about blessings
May we ever focus on the blessings of our Lord.
When you think about what your typical day is like, how much quiet time (apart from sleep) do you see? We live in a fast paced, always on-the-go, drive thru society where it seems like we never stop and take a moment to just clear our minds, take a breath, and just listen.
As you consider the above thought, I encourage to consider some of God’s teaching in scripture.
May we all learn to slow down and take a moment to hear God speaking to us in our silence.
