We don’t change the message,
the message changes us.
May the Lord bless and keep you through His Word
I ran across the following and thought it would be interesting to share. While the message is short, it certainly gives us pause to think about our role and God and Christ’s role in reaching the lost today.
We are to take the examples from scripture and apply them in our lives today. Consider the following verse and the short statement that follows.
You catch them
– He’ll clean them.
Let us never forget our role is to bring the “fish” in and Christ will do the cleaning. Are you ready to listen and follow as the apostles did?
As I look at and think about the above statement I can’t help but feel it is something we as Christians must always remember. The truth is that the majority of the world is going to try and convince that what we believe is strange or wrong and many of the things we believe to be wrong they will claim are really just fine and we do not know what we are talking about or we have just not adapted with the times. Just look at the change of opinion in the world regarding homosexuality.
We must always remember to remain focused on what the Word of God has to say and remember that just because times and people change, God does not.
Let us not focus on what the world has to say but rather invest our time and energy in the Word of God.
A day will never be anymore than what you make of it.
Practice being a “doer”!
Josh S. Hinds
It is very easy to sit on the sidelines and complain about the way things or going or to sit and talk about all the different ways your life could be better, it is a much harder thing to actually do something about it. As Christians we are called to make the harder choice and make each and every day a glory to God. As you consider this thought, consider also what the Word of God teaches.
May we all be “doers” of the Lord’s will
