“The life you are leading is simply a reflection of your thinking”
This statement seems to reflect multiple Biblical teachings on the importance of our thoughts and how we must make sure to keep them pure. It is not enough to think one thing and say another. Be careful not to fool yourself into believing you are okay because the words that come out of your mouth are not “as bad” as what you are thinking. God knows out true thoughts and intentions and that is what we will be judged on.
Here are just a few verses to help remind you of the importance of keeping your thoughts and you heart pure.
Phil 4:23 “23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Prov 23:7 “7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”
2 Cor 10:3-6 “3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
Phil 4:6-8 “6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Col 3:2-4 “2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
May the Lord continue to bless you each and every day.
