Is a Worn out Bible Really a Bad Thing???

“A Bible Falling Apart Belongs to Someone who Isn’t”.
~Unknown

As you stop and look at the various Bibles in your home, ask yourself what you see. Are they worn and torn from years of use and or do they still look brand new and the binding are still fresh because they have never been opened. Having the Word of God in your home without opening it up and reading it does you nothing. You must open it up and read it for it to be effective. A well used Bible is most likely symbolic of a well lived life.

Josh 1:8 “8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Ps 119:10-11 “10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!” 11
Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.”

1 Tim 4:13 “13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”

2 Tim 3:16-17 “16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

May the Lord bless you with years and years of pleasure and learning through the reading of His Word.
